Once you’re able to stop staring at your shiny new engagement ring, questions like these seem to pop up left and right.

When it comes to engagement ring cleaning & care, let us be your guide.

Can I Shower with My Engagement Ring On?

Can you? Yes.

Should you? No.

Just as you should remove your ring before applying lotion or other cosmetics, you should also remove your ring before showering.

While your favorite body wash or shampoo may seem harmless, they could cause grimy buildup on or even contribute to deterioration of your ring.

So, just take that ring off before sudsing up. Better safe than sorry.

But wait! Don’t just set it on the counter. I don’t know about you, but my cats + shiny object = ring down the drain.

Put it in a safe place outside the bathroom or invest in a jewelry holder to keep in the bathroom for this specific reason. If your ring or other jewelry falls victim to a bathroom drain.

P.S. – Don’t forget about situations in which you may shower away from home. (Think gym locker room, friend’s house after a pool party, etc.)
